The story behind the art.
This was created for prefabricated building and architecture industry magazine, Built Offsite, who approached me to illustrate the cover of their feature issue about BIM and the prefab buildings. BIM is the Building Information Modelling process that gives architecture, engineering and construction professionals the ability to monitor, plan, design, manage the building process effectively in great detail and to manage the continuing upkeep, redevelopment and maintenance of buildings.

Taking the idea based from the basic graph of the BIM cycle that depicts conception to completion and beyond, how BIM allows the varied professionals involved to work together to complete the projects with precision and ease plus to combine the imagery of the prefab built environment and industry. The idea of "creating a future world”  taking inspiration from the futuristic illustrations of the 40s and 50s, plus a little bit of contemporary that is my infographic style. This is the result.
The idea for the illustration came to me straight away I do like to explore alternatives for the client, as show in these quick roughs.
